Description
A vigorous, deciduous large shrub or eventually a small tree which needs to be staked up to form either a trunk, or a central frame of branches. Masses of small, fragrant lilac coloured flowers are borne in May & June. Prune to shape immediately after flowering. Will grow in most fertile, well drained soils in sun. Height 8 to 12 feet.
